Deep Tracks Only

One of the reasons for the move of my site was so I could post video clips. So let’s try it out. Here’s a clip from The Office:

The more I see of Andy Berndard, the more I think I’d be really good friends with him. Okay, I confess, I am an old school DMB fan and I can totally relate to Andy. Back in the day, I never understood why their best tracks were ignored by the radio, only to have Ants Marching or What Would You Say, played over and over again. Of course, that’s not to say that I still wouldn’t rock out to those songs no matter how many times I heard them.

Well this one’s for you Andy. Not sure if its a deep enough track, but it is one of my favorite DMB songs. (BTW, I did not make this clip, so I take no credit for the pictorial tribute.)

There are so many things about this song that represent what I loved about Dave Matthews Band back then: the way the instrumentals mix so well, Dave’s vocals, and the poetry of the lyrics which speak directly to the teenage me and all the angst he had back then. I would love to hear your thoughts or interpretation of the song or tell me your favorite DMB track. Also DJ Critic takes requests, so let me know what other songs you want to discuss.
